1 Driver installation and configuration
1 Install Elasticsearch ODBC driver.

2 Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator
Under the ”Drivers” tab you should be able to see the Elasticsearch driver version 7.16.03.00. This is the
one compatible with the current Elasticsearch version Zylinc is running.
3 Go to the “System DSN” tab and click on “Add...” and select “Elasticsearch Driver”.
4 Enter the following configuration:Name: you can choose any name here.
Hostname, Username and password: This information must be requested from the system administrator
in your organization. This information is given by Zylinc or Zylinc partner.
Port: 443
Once the configuration is entered, click “Test Connection”.
2 Establish connection from Power BI
1 Open Power BI
2 Select the “Get Data” menu, and search for “ODBC” .
3 This will replace current window with a new From ODBC one, where you’ll have to select a previously
configured DSN:
4 Once connected Power BI will read Elasticsearch’s catalog and offer the user a choice of tables
(indices) to load data from. Clicking on one of the tables will load a preview of the data within:
Now tick the chosen table and click on the Load button. Power BI will now load and analyze the data, populating a list with the available columns.
