1 INTRODUCTION
This is the FAQ regarding using headsets with Zylinc Cloud. It covers most frequently asked questions regarding headsets and audio for the web client.
The FAQ goes through the scenarios that most often cause the sound to fail, and shows the necessary settings to solve any problems.
2 IS MY HEADSET REGISTERED?
2.1 Make sure your headset is connected in Zylinc Cloud
Go to settings in Zylinc Cloud by clicking on the gear in the lower left corner.
Select the headset field in the horizontal menu and press connect headset.
Connect to the headset you are using by clicking on it and then pressing 'Connect'
Now your headset appears, with name, in the Zylinc Cloud.s dit headset, med navn, i Zylinc Cloud.
If in doubt about your headset's connection, you can always click on the lock icon next to the address in the browser and see the following:
3 I HAVE NO SOUND IN MY HEADSET AFTER CONNECTING IT
3.1 Make sure your headset is registered in the sound settings.
Open "Sound Settings" in the lower right corner of the computer.
Check that in the fields "Output" and "Input" the headset or sound device from which the sound is to come is selected.
4 I HAVE SOUND IN THE HEADSET BUT CANNOT HEAR THE CUSTOMERS.
4.1 Make sure your headset with sound is selected as the device.
Select the headset you are wearing as "Output Device", and if necessary, turn turn up the volume to hear if there is now sound in your headset.
If there is still no sound, open the "Sound Control Panel" on the right side of the screen.
Select your device in the control panel.
Right-click with the mouse on the headset you are using, then press "Properties"
Then click on "Levels" and make sure it is not muted.
5 CUSTOMERS CAN'T HEAR ME
5.1 Make sure that the microphone is selected for the headset you are using, and not the computer's own microphone.
Select the headset you are wearing as input device, speak into the microphone on your headset to see if there is now sound in your headset's microphone.
If there is still no sound, open the "Sound Control Panel"
Select your device.
Right mouse button on the headset you are using, then press "Properties"
Then click on "Levels" and make sure it is not muted.
6 I HAVE NO SOUND WHEN I RECEIVE CALLS
6.1 If you want your computer's speakers to make a ringtone when the phone rings, do the following.
You must be in "Offer" mode (in Danish "Tilbyd") in Zylinc Cloud.
In the settings, you must also select which device(s) you want the ringtone from, as well as how loud it should be.
If no sound comes out, "Sound Settings" must be opened by right-clicking with the mouse on the sound icon in the bottom right corner of the screen.
Open "Sound Control Panel" on the right side.
Select the device where you want the sound to come from.
Right-click with the mouse on "Test" and hear whether sound comes from the desired device.
If there is, it can be selected.
If no sound comes out, open "Properties and "Levels" and make sure it is not "Muted"
