Set up your headset
Description
This article is for those who are getting started with the Web Agent for the first time. We walk you through how to get online and get started with Zylinc, create a shortcut on your computer and provide the permissions needed for Zylinc to work with your internet browser and headset.
The article is also great if you need a refresher on some good tips when starting your Web Agent.
Get online and get started with Zylinc Cloud
To get started with Zylinc Cloud, you need a link/URL. You can get this from your company's IT administrator. You need to copy the link into an internet tab.
When you are asked to log in, use the password you use to log in to your computer.
The log in landingpage will then appear on your screen. It should look something like below - whether you can see all 3 types of agents depends on what your administrator has configured for you.
Select Web agent and check your work mode
Tap the WEB AGENT icon:
If you are given the option to choose between several different profiles and don't know which one to choose, click on 'Web agent license'.
Once you are logged in, you will be taken directly to the first screen where you also manage calls. Here you can see the settings your administrator has chosen for you.
Check that you are in the correct work mode ('Active', 'Inactive' or 'Stand-by') or set to match your desired state.
Grant permissions in your browser
The first time you log in, you need to authorize the browser to use various features on your computer. In order for Zylinc Cloud to work, it is important that you authorize:
- Your microphone
- Your notifications
- Pop-ups for your link
Start by giving permission for the browser to use your microphone. To do so, click the 'Tillad' button in this pop-up window:
If you are using Edge
Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of your internet tab:
... and select ‘Indstilinger’ ('Settings'):
In the next screen, click into 'Cookies og webstedstilladelser':
Now tap the arrow next to the Zylinc logo and url:
Make sure to give permission at 'Microphone', 'Notifications' and 'Pop-ups and redirects':
You can now close the tab by clicking the X in the top right corner.
If you use Chrome
First, you need to allow the browser to use your microphone:
You must also allow the browser to show you notifications:
Now, tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of your internet tab.
Select 'Indstillinger' (’Settings’):
Under ’Privatliv og sikkerhed’, select ’Websiteindstillinger’:
Now tap the arrow next to the Zylinc logo and url:
Make sure to give permission on 'Microphone', 'Notifications' and 'Pop-ups and redirects':
You can now close the internet tab with the cross.
How to install Zylinc Cloud as an app
Here's what to do in Edge
Tap the 3 dots in the top right corner of your internet tab.
Select 'Apps':
Select 'Install Zylinc Web Agent':
Now click 'Installer':
Select which settings you want. We recommend adding Zylinc Web Agent to your taskbar. To do so, check the first two boxes:
You will now get an icon/shortcut on your taskbar that you just need to click from now on to get started quickly with the Web Agent.
How to do it in Chrome
Tap the icon with an arrow on a screen:
Press 'Installer':
Select ’Ja’ ('Yes') to attach the Zylinc Web Agent to the taskbar:
You will now get an icon/shortcut on your taskbar that you just need to click from now on to get started quickly with the Web Agent.
Set up your headset
You now need to set up your headset.
It is important that your headset is available as an audio device on your computer. If it is not available, you will not be able to connect it.
Now select your headset from the list. If your headset does not appear, your headset may not be compatible (in this case, contact your administrator).
Now go to settings in the Web Agent - a cog in the bottom left corner:
Now select ’Lyd & headset’ ('Sound & headset'):
Now you can choose the volume and ringtone you want. You also choose which devices you want to sound when you receive a call. You can select multiple audio devices.
If you want to use the button on your headset to answer and end calls, you need to activate 'Headset call control'. To do this, drag the toggle button to the right so that it turns orange.
